Metro L2 Lima. Potential for urban transformation

Transit Oriented Development study commissioned by the World Bank to assess the potential for urban regeneration processes after the implementation of metro L2 in the Ate – Santa Anita corridor, in the East of Lima. The study comprised three aspects, including urban mobility, sustainability and citizens participation, and focused in the last four stations of L2. The study involved urban and spatial analyses based on desk research and information gathered in meetings and workshops with public servants, commercial associations, social leaders and neighborhood organizations, in which we collected opinions and ideas on the challenges and possibilities that the new infrastructure brought to the city.

As part of the core team, I was in charge of the participatory work, including the organization of meetings, focus groups and workshops, as well as the systematization of its results and the GIS spatial analysis. This work was used in the Transit Oriented Development proposal developed as conclusion of the study.
