Commissioned by the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation in Peru, the research group Conurb developed in 2015 a study of the housing context in the capital, as well as a social housing policy proposal. The proposal combined current policy instruments and programs with an urban approach that would benefit the consolidation and urban regeneration of vulnerable areas of Lima’s periphery. The research team was led by Luis Rodríguez Rivero and conformed by a multi-disciplinary group of professionals. The study covered social, political, financial and spatial aspects of housing.
I coordinated the research team in charge of the development of the spatial analysis and housing proposals. Together with the financial and social experts, we developed and edited the housing policy proposal report.
Part of the conclusions of this study were published in the URBS blog, authored by Luis Rodríguez Rivero and myself.
